Description: This is the Ivy gingerbread house! The template worked great for me. Agree with what others have posted, you need 2 of the "F" pieces when it only says 1. Also, I did not bake the "X-B3" piece but just used my foam board mock up piece since its only for spacing purposes. I found that I could make this house with one less batch of gingerbread than what was called for.

I painted the pieces with white food coloring and did most decorations with the royal icing recipe. The lanterns are made from Dots and fondant. I used a door cookie cutter from a smaller gingerbread set I had to cut out the black fondant and attach them to the roof. The bricks are made from starbursts- I microwaved them about 10 seconds and then cut them in half and molded them to be brick shaped. I used gelatin sheets for the windows and placed two christmas trees inside of the home. The porch has almond slices as flooring and the wrought iron fencing is made of spaghetti coated in royal icing.

Thank you so much to all of those on this forum that helped me greatly with this project! This was my first attempt at a gingerbread house other than your typical 6-piece rectangular house.
