| Description: Here are some additional photos of my 2014 Westfir House. It is based on The Westfir House gingerbread house pattern available here on the Gingerbread Exchange website, with a couple of minor modifications (for example, additional dormer windows on the rear side). The entire display is 100% edible (with the exception of the base and lights, of course) and consists of Gingerbread, poured Hard Candy (for the windows), Royal icing and Gum paste (I made the roof shingles, fence and porch railings by adding Tylose/CMC to Royal Icing; this essentially converts the Royal Icing into a very useful and pretty fast drying type of Gum Paste).
