| Description: This is an edible version of Schloss Hurlach, a castle (circa 1610AD) nestled in the tiny Bavarian village of Hurlach, in the South of Germany. I live in one of the towers. Being surrounded by quaint buildings, interconnecting to create such beautiful spaces and perspectives, it was simply too tempting to try to recreate the scene in Gingerbread! It was quite complicated to design and build with a variety of arches, towers, covered walkways and tricky roof lines (not to mention the fact that the whole thing sits on a hill), but I am very happy with the result. Decorations have been kept simple, allowing the beauty of the architecture to take centre stage.
