"Vegetable Shortening" in GingerArt's recipe
« on: December 12, 2015, 07:00:51 am »
Hi all,

Newbie here - my company is having a gingerbread house contest, so I've decided to give it a go.  Very thankful to have found this website!

Planning to use GingerArt's recipe, which calls for "vegetable shortening" - just want to check to be sure that what this means is something like solid Crisco?

TIA,
Gayle

Didn't hear from anyone, so used Crisco.  I should know if a few hours whether or not this was OK.

Yes, Vegetable Shortening is the same as Crisco. :)
