Trees for gingerbread houses.

Can anybody help me with any really good methods or ideas for making very realistic evergreen trees?

This might be too late to be helpful, but I was just browsing Pinterest (as usual!) and saw these chocolate trees and thought of your post.  Perhaps you could reverse engineer them?
